Fourth Trimester Support
In-Home Midwifery-Based Postpartum Care
CRMC’s Fourth Trimester Support builds family resilience with accessible, comprehensive midwifery- centered postpartum care.
Everyone deserves care that can facilitate postpartum healing in order to thrive.
-
Fourth Trimester Support includes one prenatal visit where we discuss birth plan and postpartum needs.
We encourage you to start care in the third trimester. This helps us get to know you and your family and come up with a solid plan.
-
We offer in-person Childbirth Education that supports the birth you want. Taught by Stephanie Minnaert.
The format will be a mix of discussion, hands-on position and comfort measure practice, visualizations, videos, and open dialogue with plenty of room to ask questions and veer into topics that feel relevant to the group. We'll focus on the different stages of labor, what to expect during labor, natural comfort measures, emergency and intervention scenarios, postpartum care, basic infant feeding, and more. There is usually between 3 - 6 couples or pregnant people per class to keep the feel more of an intimate experience.
-
During visits, midwives will do a clinical assessment of the parent-baby dyad, help with healing and baby-feeding, answer questions, offer herbal support, and care for the postpartum body.
The Fourth Trimester Full Package includes 6 in-home visits:

postpartum: 2 times in the first week and once at 2 weeks, 4 weeks and 6 weeks.
