Community Roots Events in Boulder County

At Community Roots Midwife Collective, community is at the heart of everything we do. All of our local events are designed to foster connection across diverse identities and lived experiences, uplifting every member of our chosen family. These gatherings create inclusive spaces. So that everyone has the chance to gather, share stories, and grow together in person. By honoring our core value of relationship-based care and celebrating our differences, we build a stronger, more compassionate community for all.

People gathered in a park for a picnic, sitting on blankets and lawn chairs under trees. Some are talking, and children are playing nearby. There are strollers, bags, and drinks scattered around.

Gatherings in the Park

We host casual gatherings at our office or local parks several times a year where CRMC families, midwives, and community members share food, drinks, music, conversation, playing, storytelling and childcare.

Honoring Birth: Community Celebration and Mural Installation

In 2024, CRMC organized a mural installation and celebration with local artists and the community in downtown Longmont, CO.

The mural was designed by local artists Mario Olvera and Onecho to show the importance of maternal and infant health within our community and beyond. The mural is earth-based, ancestrally inspired, and multicultural, honoring children + youth, water carriers, life bringers, midwives, and the sacred cycles of birth, death, and rebirth. These cycles of life are shared by all humans, and CRMC believes that uplifting and celebrating the importance of wellness and care in these shared transitions is a powerful way to honor and unite our diverse communities.
